Sankranthi Season

First Film to release this year was Agnyaathavaasi and film turned out to be one of the biggest Disasters in Telugu Film Industry. The other two films released for Sankranthi are Balakrishna's Jai Simha and Raj Tharun's Rangula Ratnam. Rangula Ratnam remained as flop. Balakrishna's Jai Simha Collected a share of 29 crores and was the only film to bring profits to buyers in Sankranthi season.

Mid Jan - Mid March

Only notable film to release in January after sankranthi was Bhagamathie. With good reviews and strong word of mouth film turned out to be hit at Box-office. Naga Showrya's Chalo was the first film to hit screens in February and became biggest hit in Shourya's career. Chalo is the first Blockbuster of the year 2018. On the same day Mass Maharaj Raviteja's Touch Chesi Chudu was released but it failed to impress audience and ended up as disaster.

Sai Dharam Tej's Inttelligent directed by VV Vinayak was released in 2nd week of february and became biggest disaster in tollywood in terms of loss percentage. Varun Tej's Tholiprema, Kajal Aggarwal's AWE impressed audience and were hits at Box-office. Vijay Devarakonda's Yem manthram vesave, Nikhil's Kirrak Party, Kalyan Ram's MLA are the films released till 3rd week of march but all three were disasters at Box-office.


Summer Season

Mega Power Star Ram Charan started summer with a bang with Rangasthalam. Rangasthalam became Non Baahubali Biggest grosser. Till date film collected a share of 121+ crores. Nithin's Chal Mohana Ranga, Nani's Krishnarjuna Yudham, Kanam and America Achari Yathra are films released after Rangasthalam but all ended up as Disasters at Box-office. Superstar's Bharat Ane Nenu released in 4th week of April got good reception from audience and is still continuing in theaters with decent occupancy. Allu Arjun's Naa Peru Surya released in first week of May failed to reach the expectations and ended up as disaster. Biopic of Legendary actress Savitri, Mahanati directed by Nag Aswin released on may 9th performed huge in both domestic and overseas market.
